...Check! Only 97 or so more days to go! :) I signed up for the run/walk training program, so it's nice in that it starts really slow and makes running these 13.1 very attainable after following the program. The tough training days are Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The other 4 days are easier days consisting of 20-30 minute walks or cross-training or active recovery. Today was an easy 20 minute walk day. I did just that ... I am definitely NOT going to be an over-achiever in this 1/2 marathon quest! :) My main goal is just to cross the finish line!
In some exciting news, my cousin Amanda signed up for Team Challenge in Long Island! She'll also be following the same training program, and then we'll meet up in Vegas and run together! I'm so exicted, and will have someone to run with when I go up to NY in October! It's great that she'll be getting the word out on Crohn's and Colitis on Long Island! I know she'll do amazing!
